The GTA VI trailer leak was reportedly done by a Bitcoin supporter, who posted the video with a large “BUY $BTC” caption on X, hoping to attract more attention and investment for the cryptocurrency. However, the leak did not seem to have any significant impact on the price of Bitcoin, which has remained relatively stable in the past few days.
Lucia, the Female Protagonist in the GTA VI
The trailer introduces us to Lucia, the first female playable character in the GTA series, who is seen meeting a parole officer in a prison uniform at the start of the video. Later, Lucia and her boyfriend Jason are shown pulling off various heists and crimes in Vice City, a fictionalized version of Miami.
The trailer also showcases the neon-soaked streets, the beachfront, the swampy areas, and the Florida Keys of the game’s map, which is said to be the largest and most immersive in the series.
According to a press release from Rockstar Games, GTA 6 will be set in the state of Leonida, home to Vice City and beyond, and will feature a story influenced by the real-life criminals Bonnie and Clyde. The game will also have more interior locations and enterable buildings than any previous GTA game, as well as a variety of wildlife, vehicles, weapons, and activities.
GTA 6 is expected to launch in 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, according to Rockstar Games’ parent company Take-Two Interactive, which projects the game to generate $8 billion in net bookings by 2025. However, there was no mention of a PC version of the game, which has disappointed many PC gaming fans who have been eagerly waiting for the game.
GTA Series Remains One of the Best
The GTA series, which began in 1997, has sold more than 400 million units to date and is widely regarded as one of the greatest and best-selling video game franchises of all time. The last instalment, GTA 5, which was released in 2013, is the second best-selling video game ever, behind only Minecraft, with over 190 million copies sold worldwide. The more than decade-long gap between the release of GTA 5 and GTA 6 has left the game’s loyal fanbase eager for a glimpse at the new game, which has finally arrived with the trailer.
